He was predeceased by: his parents, Metro and Ecaterina; and his sisters, Mary (Ole), Martha (Colin) and Nancy.

He is survived by: his niece Kathy; his great-nephew Richard; his great-niece Katrina (Liam); his nephew Brian (Wendy); his great-niece Tanya (Bob); and his great-nephew David. He is also survived by two great great nieces and one great great nephew.
