He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Kanigan (Doubinin) and George William Kanigan; his siblings, George Kanigan and Anne Kabatoff; and his son Raymond.
He is survived by: his children, Natalie (Allan Lapierre) and Ed Jr.; his grandchildren, Heather Giesler and Darryl; and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Paige Giesler and Lily. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
