He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Gwen Staten; his in-laws, John and Joan Reichardt; and his brother Don.
He is survived by: his wife Lorna; his children, Allison Marie Staten of Kelowna and Chad William Staten; his grandsons, Nash William, Austin John Staten of Nelson, Grandpuppies, Dexter and Squeak; his in-laws, Donna Scheible of Calgary, Steve Reichardt (Rose) of Victoria, Janet Leahy (George) of Nelson, Kathy Olson of Victoria and Mike Reichardt (Wendy) of Nelson; his nieces and nephews, Karen, Erin, Dylan Leahy, Kyle, Jaryd Olson (Hope) and Caitlin; and his cousins, Terry Staten (Ann), Warren Little (Marilyn), Alan Little (Kathy), Bob Davidson (Catherine) and Dan Davidson (Kathy).
