He was predeceased by: his wife Lorna E Simmonds; and his brother Bill Simmonds. He is survived by: his son Wright Simmonds; his grandson Henry Simmonds; his sister Marina; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Vettergreen, Helen Simmonds and Miriam Wright. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
