He was predeceased by: his children, Kenneth and Karen; his siblings, Edward, Einer, John and Aina; and his granddaughter Jennifer.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Strom; and his children, Dwain Strom (Diane) of Castlegar, Brenda Chernoff (Cyril) of Nelson, BC, Darrell Strom (Coreen) of Longbeach, Melvin Strom (Nancy) of Spokane Washington and Alanna Kazakoff (Jack) of Nobleford Alberta. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother.
