He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes King and Cyril King of Kamloops. He is survived by: his wife Marie; his son Kim; his daughter-in-law Dawn; his grandchildren, Liam, Cameron and Lauren of Nanaimo; his sister Jane Millikin of Kelowna; and his godson Andrew Panton of Nanaimo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
