We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2025, Mary (Betty) Elizabeth Archibald (Nanaimo, British Columbia), born in Vancouver, British Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Archibald; her daughter Lynn Esau; her brother Bob Cairns; her sister-in-law Kae Cairns; her sister Wilma MacPherson; and her brother-in-law John Balen.
She is survived by: her children, Bev Amendt (Gary), Gay Corbett (Dave), Barbara Brewer and Dean Archibald; and her sister Marg Balen. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sands Funeral Chapel (1 Newcastle Ave, Nanaimo, BC V9S4H6). A reception was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location.
