He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hovell and Bertha Hovell; his wife Patrica "Pat" Hovell; and his sister June Green. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Hufstedler, Terry Hovell (Jean) of Sherwood Park, AB, Craig Hovell (Pam) of Parksville, BC and Jeff Hovell (Nancy) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
