It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon Phillips of Nanaimo, British Columbia, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley; his daughters, Jackie, Nicola and Joanne; his sons-in-law, Mark and Andrew; his grandchildren, Liam, Zoe and Caitlin; his sister Mary; his sister-in-law Christine (Tom); his nephew Gareth (Courtney); his sisters-in-law, Joyce and Diane (John); his nephews, Guy (Colin) and David; and his parents, David and Olwen. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces, and nephews.

A funeral will be celebrated in the New Year dependent upon COVID-19 protocols in his hometown of Carmarthen, Wales, and interment at St. Peter's Church; and in the meantime, a Celebration of Life will take place early next year in Nanaimo, Canada at a date to be determined.
