Douglas Blenkarn D. F.R.C.P. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Blenkarn D. F. R. C. P. (Nanaimo, British Columbia), born in Toronto, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alec Blenkarn and Marjorie O'Dell Blenkarn; his wife Shirley McCollum; his son Tim Blenkarn; his brother Don Blenkarn; and his sister-in-law Marguerite Blenkarn.

He is survived by: his significant other Deb Glanville Blenkarn; his sons, Michael Blenkarn (Tricia Ramsay) and David Blenkarn (Lemei Wei); his stepdaughter Kerry Golembeski (Erik Golembeski); his grandchildren, Brandon Blenkarn, Kendall Blenkarn (Dennis Kirch), Quinn Blenkarn, Emma Blenkarn, Paige Golembeski, Sam Golembeski and Emily Wei; his siblings, David Blenkarn (Shelagh Blenkarn) and Mary Schoenhardt (Bill Schoenhardt); and his sisters-in-law, Theresa Glanville, Barbara Glanville, Mary Hutchinson (Bruce Hutchinson) and Susan Srivastava. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
