We are sad to announce that on March 30, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Donald Elmer Stoddart in Nanaimo, British Columbia, born in Markdale, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Stoddart and Dorothy Stoddart; his siblings, Jack and Anna; his wife Edith; his children, Roger (Fran), Leanne (Gordon) and Charlene (Michael); and his grandchildren, Joel, Daniel, Stephanie, Riley, Kyle, Cody, Amanda, Carissa and Allison. He was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC in memory of Don.

“I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Donald once, in May 2013, after he and Edith had driven across Canada to visit in Harwood, Ontario. Actually, I also met him at his brother/my Uncle Jack's and Aunt Renate's wedding, in which I was ringer bearer, but being so young then my memories from that time are limited. I am sure there was a lot of wonderful life and history in between for Donald and his family. He had a good sole. My heartfelt condolences to Edith, Jack, Anna and the entire family.”
