He is survived by: his wife Lylah (Cassie); his parents, Anice and Peter; his siblings, Stephen (Krista), Laura (Drew), Lindsay (Connor) and Brittany; his nieces and nephews, Grayson, Reed, Sawyer and Austin; his parents-in-law, Pat and Betty; and his siblings-in-law, Jody and Meridee (Brice).

In lieu of flowers a memorial page has been setup with the BCSPCA for donations to be made in David's honour.
