He was predeceased by: his daughter Misha. He is survived by: his children, Andrew, Shailee, Iain, Helen "Bree" and Danielle. He is also survived by his parents and siblings.

This was evident in his years of volunteerism, spending seasons preparing camp for kids at what is now Moorecroft Regional Park and his many years of blood donation.
