He was predeceased by: his parents, David Knill and Margaret Knill; and his siblings, Erle, Murray, Ron, Joyce and Donna.

He is survived by: his sister Jean Hilton (Roy) of Kitchener. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
