With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Hughes (Nakusp, British Columbia), born in Lacombe, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Alice; his grandson Lucas; and his sister Alison. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his children, Carly, Francis (Larissa), Julianne (Nick), Paul (Alicia) and Joseph (Carlee); his grandchildren, Duncan, Sarah, Michael, Samantha, Amelia, Erin, Katelyn, Jane, Jacob, Colby, Zac, Bryce, Avery, Holly and Reid; his stepgrandchildren, Paisley and Avery Coen; and his siblings, Carolyn, Ann, Pat, Elaine and Charles.
A prayer was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (96 5 Ave NW, Nakusp, BC V0G1R1). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Nakusp Cemetery (914-Broadway Street).
