He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Fedyk and Dorothy Fedyk. He is survived by: his wife Nadine; his brother Wayne; his father-in-law Joe Rooney; his siblings-in-law, Cindy Bartlett (Rick), Rick Rooney (Nicole) and Dennis Rooney (Marina); and his nephews, Jeremy, Tim, Chad, Mark and Dennis.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, a random act of kindness, in memory of Gary, his legacy was to make people happy.
