It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine Astrid Venus Whitford (Maple Ridge, British Columbia), born in Veteran, Alberta, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Norwegian; her husband Thomas Walter Whitford (Tom); and her grandson David Smith. She is survived by: her sister Rhoda Bell; her children, Dawn Braithwaite (Richard), Gail Fonda (Wayne) and Robert Whitford (Cheri Baldin); her grandchildren, Gregory Smith (Elaine), Rebecca-Lynne Cesari (Jeffery), Kimberley Handley (Josh), Kelsey Fonda, Ryan Whitford and Nicole Whitford (Michael Mandzuk); her stepgrandchildren, Richard Braithwaite, Gina Braithwaite Malones, Stephen Baldin (Elena) and Nicole Baldin; her great grandchildren, Arianna, Ayden Smith, Cheyenne, Gabriella, Anthony Cesari, Marek Handley, Mallory and Gavin Mandzuk; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Trevor, Kalvin Malones, Nicolas Baldin and Bella Fiorilli.
