Beloved son of Mahinda and Karuna Hewavitharana, born on July 31st, 1953 in Matale, Sri Lanka. After Lucky graduated from school he went on to have an exemplary career as Master Mariner, starting with the Ceylon Shipping Corporation and achieving the rank of Captain. He married Carol in 1985 and went on to have two sons, Ishan and Damian.

After nearly 3 decades in Canada, he retired in 2018 and spent his time on long walks with his favourite son, Titan, our Alaskan malamute.

Survived by brother Lalith, Captain Athula, and sister, Ramani Attyygalle. Loving husband to Carol, loving father to Damian and Ishan, daughter-in-law Karlee and faithful companion to Titan.

Service to be held at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel & Crematorium at 11969 216th St. Maple Ridge on Monday Oct. 21 at 2:00 pm. Wake to follow at 3:00 pm. Food and refreshments provided.
