He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Ehrenholz and Emma Ehrenholz; and his siblings, Werner, Richard and Renate Durante.

He is survived by: his wife Louise; his children, Sylvia Allenby (Dave), Dan (Terry), Vern (Patti) and Jon (Fiona); his grandchildren, Derek, James, Alycia Coatta (Aaron), Trevor (Sara), Sarah Smiley (Matt), Peter (Sara), Travis, Nathan (Zoe), Yvonne, Justine Nicholls (Kellen), Jessica and Adrian; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Coatta, Emma Coatta and Ivar Coatta; and his sisters, Augusta Kullman, Giesla Hamilton and Adeline Robb.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for The Gideons Intnl.

“Sincere condolences to the Ehrenholz at this very difficult time. Although we have not seen Louise & Walter in many years we often think of them. Louise & I first became friends while teaching Sunday School during our high school days at St Columba Presbyterian Church on 44th Ave in Vancouver, BC many years ago. Walter & his younger brother Werner (Vern) came on the scene in the mid '50's. I was a bridesmaid in their wedding in Aug 1957. My husband Stan sanded the floors in their original farm house in Langley. We have many fond memories of our days together. We are saddened to read of Walter's passing but also know that he is now at peace. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.
