She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Robert Horton; her parents, John Burns Shaw and Mary Graydon Shaw (Kelly); and her siblings, John Burns Shaw, Jr. and Elizabeth Hamilton Semple (Betty).

She is survived by: her children, Curtis (Vicky), Tracey Pratt (Graham), John (Hanneke) and Shawn; her granddaughters, Amanda Rolleman (Peter), Crystal, Kimberley and Tasia; and her great grandchildren, Ryan and Wesley Rolleman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
