He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie and Hazel; his wife Frances; his nephews, Scott Rea and David Mutch; and also, David (Jean) and Wilfred (Ruth).

He is survived by: his children, Ian, Laurel (Rick), Wendy and Tobin (Christine); his grandchildren, Alex Newcomb (Brittany) and Tyrone Mutch (Anwen); his stepgrandsons, Alex Nelson and Tayte Nelson (Andrea); his nephew Charlie Mutch (Alma); his nieces, Margi Wilson (Bob), Donna Woodley (Brian) and Heather Kelly (Bob); his sister-in-law Marion; and also, Sandra Rea and Lloyd McDonald. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great (+) nieces and nephews, travelling back to his beloved PEI, working on his antique engines, visiting with friends.
