He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Broughton and Charles Broughton; and his brother-in-law Joel Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; his sons, John, Kesten and Jamin Broughton; his sister Sophie Edwards; his nephews, Joel T, Ben and David; his niece Rachel (Aaron); his brother Charles Broughton (Pat); and his nieces, Sarah and Nilasha.
