“Just a note to Allen's family: I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I have memories of Allen that go far back to my early childhood, when I thought of him as the big brother I never had. He and his family were like family to us in Vedder Crossing, Petawawa and Germany. It's hard to think of his passing, and it's heartbreaking to know that he died too young, too soon. Rest in peace, my old friend. I will always treasure those memories.”
