She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Agnes Allan and Hamilton Allan; her siblings, Nancy (Doug Matson), Isabel (Ian McMurtrie) and Victor (Maureen Allan); her children, Clark Highfield and Dianne Thomas; her son-in-law Brian; and her grandsons, Philip (Mela) and Alex (Alyssa). She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
