He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Thompson; his father John Thompson; his sister-in-law Josephine Mack; and also, August Christman and Ida Christman.
He is survived by: his mother Alberta Thompson of Medicine Hat; his son Christopher Thompson (Yuan) of Ottawa; his sister Jacqueline Bishop (Patrick) of Medicine Hat; and his sister-in-law Arlene Mack (Winston) of Edmonton.
