He is survived by: his wife Gertrud; his children, Megan (Ray), Mario (Brenda), Markus (Ana) of Kitimat and Patricia (Philip) of Prince Rupert; his grandchildren, Carolyn, Michelle, Lauren (Simon), Karter (Ashley), Emily (Jarett), Alexandra (Cameron), Justine, Camron and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Brinley and Nicolai; and his siblings, Magdalene, Theo (Brigitte) and Elly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
