He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Warkentin and Helen Warkentin (Rhode); his siblings, Cornelius, Lewis, Ben, Evelyn and Lynda; and his siblings-in-law, Eunice Warkentin and Rudy Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Giesbrecht; his children, Geron (Eunice), Brenda (Jim), Sheila (Dave), Laurel (Colin) and Amy (Grant); his sister Shirley Peters; and his sisters-in-law, Mary and Joy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
