He was predeceased by: his parents, Koichi Kawamoto and Masuyo Kawamoto; and his siblings, Kay Takenaka, Henry and Kirk Kawamoto.

He is survived by: his wife Nicki Yoneko Kawamoto; and his siblings, Margaret Muraki, Tom Kawamoto and James Kawamoto (Kelly). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
