He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Stewart (Kathy); his grandchildren, Madelaine and Mischa; his sons, Matthew (Shari McDowell) and Stephen; his brother John; and his parents, Louise Longman and Beryle Longman.
His volunteering included the Lions' Club, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Community Concerts, Kidney Foundation, Women's Shelter Thrift Shop, Tourism Kelowna, COTA, NDP, Okanagan Mission Firehall and librarian for the River Run Clubhouse.
