Mel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, John and Edwina; his wife Sharon; his son-in-law Larry; and his siblings, Art and Beverly.

He is survived by: his children, Rick (Rory), Wendy, Ken (Danielle) and Mike; his grandchildren, Tina, Robin, Bruce, Holly, Erik, Connor and Damian; and his sister Barb Hanna-Dodman. He is also survived by his great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
