He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Schubel and Kathy Schubel; his brother Wally; his close friend Malley; his wife Krystyna Łukaszewicz; his grandchildren, Fraser, Hudson and Fred; and his pet Krys.

When Adam and his partner Meghan were working, Fred spent most of his time taking care of his grandkids (and his grand-dog) with Krys, picking them up from daycare, minding them during the pandemic, and waiting patiently for them by the fence every day after school.
