He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Pansegrau and Michael Pansegrau; his former wife Norma Arndt; his grandson Jordan Michael Hait; and his stepmother Alice Pansegrau.

He is survived by: his wife Shelah; his children, Melanie Hait (Jim), Wayne Pansegrau and Loralie Norley; his grandchildren, Brendan Hait (Kaitlyn), Ryan Hait and Kaylan Hait; and his sister Evelyn Bartz (Ron). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
