He was predeceased by: his wife Maddalena; and his sister Anna. He is survived by: his daughters, Christina van Soest (Garry) of Vernon, BC and Elena Friesen (Jason) of Kamloops, BC.; his grandchildren, Francesca, Katrina, Gerrit, Justin and Thomas; and his brother Paolino.
