Matt left this world on July 5, 2024 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dmytro Dmyterko and Katie Dmyterko; his siblings, Mary, Terry and Orest; and his siblings-in-law, Emil Lutz (Charlie Kobialko), Zenia Dmyterko and Muriel Dmyterko.

He is survived by: his wife Adelle; his children, Darin (Laurie), Roxanne (Rob) and Shauna (Todd); his grandchildren, Mikayla (Mackenzie), Brayden (Emily), Tyson, Taylor (Taryn) and Jared (Morgan); his stepgrandson Colton (Raquel); his siblings, Victor, Walter (Irene), Johnny, Nettie, Doreen (Marty), Delores (Morris) and Gladys (Konnie); and his sister-in-law Fran. He is also survived by his family and friends.

As an alternative to flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association (Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice) in honour of Matt's memory.
