It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verla Mary Hobson of Gibsons, British Columbia, born in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her siblings, Darlene, Florence, Floyd and Ralph; and her parents, Lothar Dressler and Marcella Dressler (Mager).
She is survived by: her siblings, Kassandra Kares, Denise Montgomery and Roger Dressler; her sons, Bill (Janet), Dave, John and Brian (Gloria); her grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Olivia and Courtney; and her great grandchildren, Cooper, Oliver and Henry. She is also survived by friends and family.
Verla devoted herself to raising her four boys, but she was also an energetic community volunteer, particularly with the hospital auxiliary and the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation.
