He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Ponic and Jenny Ponic; his wife Doris; his siblings, Emily, Steve and George; and his nephews, Jim and George Ponic.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis of Calgary, Mary Sharp of Jaffray and Linda Worley of Genelle; and his grandchildren, Paul Sharp of Calgary, Michael Sharp of Fernie, Wade Ponic of Calgary, Sara Worley of Windermere and Rachel Worley of Castlegar. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.
