She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elsie Durney (Wetherill) and Laveril Durney; her stepfather Clarence Linsley; her brothers, Earl and Wallace Linsley; her former husband James Brown; her children, Vernon, Venessa and Vance; her grandchildren, Dallas (Natasha), Riley, Tyrell (Mimi), Mitchell, Bradley (Niki), Ethan and Cade; her husband Wilfred Whiting; her stepchildren, Rena, Lyle and Carrie; and her stepgrandchild Tyrell.
