Brian Schmidt Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brian Schmidt (Fernie, British Columbia), born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Brian departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Brian may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Brian leaves behind.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Schmidt (Andrew Kehler); his granddaughters, Victoria and Emma; his son Aaron Schmidt; his daughter-in-law Keanna Schmidt; his granddaughter Ella; his sister Lynne Shearer; and his nieces and nephews, Lauren and Grant. He is also survived by extended family, neighbors, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Serenity Chapel (891 4 Ave, Fernie, BC V0B1M0).
Brian was also a loyal member of the Lions Club, faithfully donating his time and energy to their work.
