He was predeceased by: his son Mark; his parents, Doris Woodfine and Samuel Woodfine; his parents-in-law, Nettie and Harry Hughes; and his brother-in-law Don Legg.

He is survived by: his pet Tilly; his daughter Jennifer Mercier (Tyler); his granddaughter Audrey; his daughter Karen Fortin (Jacques); the mother of his child Joan Garlough; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Alex) and Christian (Catherine); his great grandchildren, Jaxson and Emma Rose; and his siblings, Joan Legg, Enid Weiss (Rainer) and Neville Woodfine (Sandra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
