He was predeceased by: his son Nirmal. He is survived by: his wife Harbans Kaur Hayer; his children, Sukdave (Beth), Sarb (Sarah) and Jasbinder (Sital); and his grandchildren, Jason, Marcus (Samantha), Hayden (Ellen), Neelam, Nirmal and Rajan.
