She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Fairhurst and Irene Fairhurst; and her siblings, Paul Fairhust, Gary Fairhurst and Bev Bruce.

She is survived by: her husband Tom Harkins; her brothers-in-law, Alex Harkins and Bob Bruce (Lorell); her mother-in-law Betty Harkins; her niece Lynsy Harkins; her nephews, Grady Bruce of Cranbrook and Errol Bruce; and her cousin Kate La Vertue (Victoria).
