It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Roy Elvins in Duncan, British Columbia, born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria; his parents, Thomas Shirley and Gertrude Marie; and his siblings, Frank Elvins, Doreen Carter and Joan Pope.

He is survived by: his children, Shirley Vanderstap (Mike), Dale Elvins (Debbie), Greg Elvins, Bruce Elvins (Jill) and Brenda Lockhart (Doug). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
