Carole Anne McLeod Obituary
In Loving Memory - Carole Anne McLeod of White Rock, British Columbia, passed away on May 8, 2019, at the age of 78, at Irene Thomas Hospice. Lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her two daughters, Leslie and Susanne, son-in-law Malcolm and her two cherished grandsons, Cameron and Duncan. Along with close cousins, long-time friends and extended family. Predeceased by father Donald in 1975, brother Donnie in 1991 and mother Phyllis in 2002. Carole was the last of clan McLeod and now rejoices with her eternal family. Carole was born in 1941 in Vancouver, BC and grew up in North Burnaby attending Gilmore Elementary and then John Oliver High School where she graduated in 1958. Ballet dancing and theatre were her passions and she danced in various productions and venues, including Theatre Under the Stars in 1959 and 1960. She met musician B.B. King at Vancouver's The Cave during those days and his signature song, "The Thrill is Gone", was one of her favourites. Carole began her career in the early 70's with the Official Court Reporters and then became a court recorder for the Provincial Govt until privatization in 1989. She continued her career as an independent court transcriber until her retirement. Carole loved spending time with her family and was extremely devoted to her two grandsons, never missing a moment in all their activities, cheering them on at each and every baseball game for over a decade. We will always remember and cherish all the great times and are so thankful for her life and love. The shared moments will last beyond the dream, beyond a lifetime.
