He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Bestward and Effie Bestward; his wife Lorena Bestward; his son Dale Bestward; and his siblings, Muriel, Brian and Lawrence.
He is survived by: his children, Russ (Darlene), Wayne (Norma) and Donna (Rodger). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
