He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Kobasiuk and Edward Kobasiuk; his stepmother Hettie Kobasiuk; his sister Doreen Nelson; and his nephews, Gregory E. Kobasiuk and Christopher Kobasiuk.
He is survived by: his close friend Joy McNeely; his children, Dean Kobasiuk (Christine), Laurel Kobasiuk and Kimberly Kobasiuk-Hanlan; his grandchildren, Shaun Strom, Ariel Hanlan (Skyler), Ashley Hanlan, Austin Hanlan, Jett Vansdal and Bo Vansdal; his great grandchildren, Westin Prue and Saint Prue (Ariel); his siblings, John Kobasiuk (Eunice), Don Kobasiuk (Heather) and Sheila Decosta (Paul); his nephew Don Pedersen (Pat); and his pet Jake.
