He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred; his parents, Peter and Annie; his siblings, Johnny, Pete, Hazel Schultz, Nellie Ewashen and Susie Nemanishen; his nephew Ed Nemanishen; and his niece Donna Norton.

He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Pennock (Steve) of Cranbrook, B. C. and Linda Opper (late Charlie); his grandsons, Darren Opper (Stephanie) of Creston, B. C., Larry Pennock and Derek Opper (Kathy); his great grandchildren, Dustin Opper of Creston, Daydren, Rylan Pennock, Brook-Lynn, Charlie and Wyatt Opper; and his sister Anne Semenoff (Alex) of Okotoks, AB. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
