She was predeceased by: her parent George Wilson; her husband John Paul Franklin, Sr.; her daughter-in-law Loretta Clark Franklin of Cranbrook, BC; her grandchildren, Jeremy Franklin Edmonds of Fredericksburg, VA and Felicia Hair Collins of Brandywine, MD; and her siblings, Dorothy McManaway of Mineral Springs, VA, Aurelia Tate of Salem, VA, Mary Williams of Chamblissburg, VA, Aubrey Moles of Salem, VA, Edward Moles of Goodview, VA and Alvin Moles of Prairie.

She is survived by: her parent Lillian Motley Moles; her children, Sarah F. Hair of Windsor Mill, MD, Richard Franklin of Fortine, MT, John Paul Franklin, Jr. (Brenda) of Appomattox, VA and Betty F. Tate (Michael) of Salem, VA; her siblings, Bernard Moles of Goodview, VA, Elery M. Shrewsbury of Chamblissburg, VA, George Walker Moles (Lavonia) of Chamblissburg, VA and Rachel M. Saunders of Moneta, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Julia Franklin McDaniel of Salem, VA, Mildred T. Moles and Gloria H. Moles of Prairie. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
