He is survived by: his children, Beau and Paisley Keays; the mother of his children Katherine Keays; his parents, Donald Keays and Nora Keays; his parents-in-law, Missy and Steven Markus; his sister Sarrah Keays (Lee Madsen); his nieces and nephews, Arya and Rhett; his sister Kathleen Gilbert (Justin); his nieces and nephews, Amelia, Callie and Boston; and his sister-in-law Jessica Markus. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a RESP education fund for his children, Beau and Paisley.
