He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Carlisle and Elsie Carlisle; his brothers, Fred and Allan; his wife Joanne; his children, Michael, Cathy (Brian) and Shawn (Peggy); his grandchildren, Craig, Jayme, Stephany (Alexander), Ethan, Michaela, Bryson, Joelle, Tyanna and Erica; his great grandchildren, Khiara and Braxton; and his friend Jim.

According to Jim's wishes, there will be no formal memorial, but donations can be made in memory of Jim's love of animals to the BC SPCA.
