He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary and Jack; his brother Larry; his brothers-in-law, Fred Hamilton and Ron Corrigan; his niece Nadine Hill; his nephews, David Hamilton and Brent Mitchell; his brother Bob Brown; his son-in-law Peter Martindale; and also, Larry, Wilma, Ernie, Nancy Haldane and Gordon Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Patrick Mader and Tara Martindale; his grandsons, Christopher (Ashley) and Alexander; his sister Barb Hamilton (family: Celia Corrigan, Marilyn Mitchell); his sister-in-law Bev Brown; his uncles, Gus, Jim Costanzo and Dave; his caregivers, Christina, Jade, Kim Miller and Maggie Paxton; and also, Barb, Celia and Marilyn. He is also survived by family, Celia Corrigan and family, Marilyn Mitchell (Gary) and family.
